1. L'Enseignement et la Formation

L'enseignement se déroule à la Faculté de Médecine de Reims pour les étudiants et dans le service ou en consultation pour les internes en formation. L'objectif est d'apprendre aux orthopédistes de demain les bases et les compétences d'une chirurgie moderne et performante fondée sur les preuves. 

 

Cet enseignement a lieu lors des staffs quotidiens de traumatologie où l'on discute ensemble des dossiers pris en charge durant la nuit, lors du staff hebdomadaire d'orthopédie où l'on discute des dossiers de chirurgie programmée et lors du staff hebdomadaire d'infections ostéo-articulaires. 

Nous animons également un cours de DESC d'orthopédie tous les 15 jours pour la formation des internes. Le choix des thèmes est varié et le programme est établi tous les trimestres.

 

Notre équipe participe par ailleurs à l'enseignement du DIU de Médecine et Traumatologie du Sport et du DIU de Chirurgie de l'Epaule et du Coude au niveau national.

 

2. La Recherche clinique et fondamentale

Souhaitant pratiquer une médecine moderne et basée sur des preuves, nous sommes investis dans plusieurs projets de recherche clinique dont le promoteur est le CHU de Reims. Nous participons également à des études multi-centriques nationales.

 

Le service collabore étroitement avec le laboratoire BIOS (Biomatériaux et Inflammation en Site Osseux, EA 4691) de l'UFR Médecine de Reims dans le domaine de la régénération osseuse ou encore l'infection ostéo-articulaire.
